The Downs Malvern is a busy, vibrant and successful co-educational preparatory school for day and boarding children aged between 3 and 13 years. The school is situated on the Herefordshire side of the Malvern Hills on a striking rural 50 acre campus in Colwall. There has recently been significant investment in enhanced facilities; the boarding house has been refurbished and a new sports hall, AstroTurf hockey pitch, tennis and netball courts have been added to what has to be one of the most idyllic prep school locations in the UK.

Much emphasis is placed on the outdoor curriculum, enabling young pupils to make the most of the wonderful country campus. The Downs offers comfortable, flexible, family-style boarding, providing a real "home from home" experience. Pupils are supported and encouraged so that they are able to do their best in all they undertake, from the classroom to the games pitches and throughout the wide range of activities offered. The school is committed to producing happy, well-rounded children who will be able to move onto the next stage in their school life sure of their own abilities and with confidence.

Malvern College is its associated senior school. The College, for girls and boys aged 13 to 18, is set in a beautiful 250-acre campus on the western side of the Malvern Hills looking out to the Cotswolds and is ten minutes drive from The Downs. Malvern offers the International Baccalaureate is alongside A levels in the Sixth Form and results are impressive, with pupils going on to top universities in the UK and abroad, particularly to the US and Canada.

If you would like any more information about the school or would like to arrange to come and see the children in action please contact the Registrar, Mrs Cox.
